Hello,

We are using Exchange Server 2003 and Outlook 2002. We have created a
non personal mailbox which is accessed by two coworkers who do not work
at the same time.

It would be useful for each coworker to know which new messages have
already been read by the other person and which messages have not.

Is there a way to add two columns in the Outlook view, like for example
"ReadByCoworker1" and "ReadByCoworker2" that each coworker could check
when he has read a message ?

I have been able to display two new columns by creating two new display
fields, but I can't change the content of these fields.

Where to begin ? What functionality or software should I look for ?
Thanks by advance for any hints,

Best regards
Vincent

Easiest would be to assign a category to it to indicate that one has
read it.

Thank you, that will do the job !

Sincerely,
Vincent

I'm interested in this issue... but I'd need it to work for 4 or 5 users..

How could I do it?

i.e.:

- User1 reads a mail
--> Users 2,3,4,5 must see that message has been read by User1.

i.e:

- User4 reads a mail
--> Users 1,2,3,5 must see that message has been read by User4.

All of them share a Exchange mailbox.

Thank you very much.

You can achieve it in the same way;

If user 4 read the message and sees that user 1, 2, 3 and 5 all have added
their personal category to it, then he can delete it (or whatever) after he
has read it.

If he see that only user 1, 2 and 5 have added their personal category to
it, then he will add its own as well. Either user can now see that user 3
still has to read it before it can be deleted.

The personal categories can be named to whatever you like but it would help
to call it something like "Read by user 1", "Read by user 2", etc...
