One Care without Internet?

I'm trying to install One Care on a second, remote computer that is not
connected to the Internet. Is this possible? The installation CD gives an
error message that an internet connection is not detected.

What I'm trying to do is to remove the nag each time that I boot XP that
warns me that my computer is not protected. Though the greatest threat is
malware coming from the Internet, there still is a possibility ofmalware
attached to something that I try to install from a CD/DVD transported to the
remote computer. I also would like to use some of the utilities that OneCare
provides (e.g., backup).

If I can't use my copy of ONeCare, is there something else suggested. I
have an old copy of Norton but I don't like it much and Isuspect that the
virus library is way out of date.

No. And, you'll have the same problem with Norton.
