Windows Live One Care

I ran Windows Live Onecare on my new HP. 1/2 way through the one care my
system lost internet conection. This has been an on going problem with my
new HP computer. It lost its ability to connect to the Internet 3 times in
its first month. After spending many hours on the phone with HP I was told
to do a HP system restore. I did this and got my connection back. Now 2
months down the road I have a back up file that will not delete created by
Windows LIve Onecare on an external drive. The drive is loaded with over
100gbs of Data so I do not want to format it to get rid of the .99gb of
Windows Live Onecare back up files. How can I delete these files as they are
not needed and I need the drive space. Note to people if you have satellite
Internet do not buy an HP computer. HP computers constantly loose Internet
connection on Satellite Internet while my other compueter will connect. HP
help after about 20+ hours this year on the phone can not solve the problem
with out doing an HP system recovery. Alos the computer was bought new for
Christmas saying Express Upgrade to Windows Vista. I received an email last
wek from Moduslink(The Vista Upgrade center) it was going to 4 to 6 weeks
still for my vista Upgrade. What is so Express HP? I would like to see the
wow of Vista not think wow I got burned by HP. My vomputer also came on sale
for the vista relese with Vista preloaded and $200 less then I paid for it a
month earlier with XP media center on it. if I had waited I woulds have had
a computer with Vista instead of still waiting for Vista still almost 2
months after Vista Release and saved over $200 dollars. Note the computer is
now the same price.

IF...is an awfully big word
IF I had invested in MS when I was 20 I could've retired by now
IF I had gone to Med school I coulda been a Doctor
Everybody has hindsight.....not too many have foresight..............
LiveOneCare is one of those not quite ready for prime time programs that MS
or any other software vendor should have "polished" a bit more.It seems that
lately we all have become unwitting Beta testers for programs that we have
paid good money for...for programs that require patching every week.Any
program that you purchase nowadays automatically connects to its maker upon
installation and "upgrades" itself.Imagine if this was a Coffee machine that
you just bought and as soon as you got it home and plugged it in a message
flashed that says..take me back I need to be "upgraded".
Someone is going to tell me..well.its was out six months ago and thinghs
have changed since then"...well the same thing happens when you download the
program from the manufacturer's website.
I tell you we are all just Beta testers...hardware or software.
xcuse me ..while I go take my meds

Rest aside, that's what you get for buying an HP or for that matter any pc
that includes Windows as part and parcel of the package.

My, what a useful reply in a WINDOWS newsgroup. You must be a very
special person, indeed.
