Hello,

I seem to have somehow activated this feature and don't know how it happened. I've searched everywhere in My Computer and can't figure out how to turn it off. It comes up everytime I sit down to do anything. Can anyone help me get rid of it?

Thanks.

Susan

Go to your control panel and select the accessiblity options. There you will
find a solution

As it automatically comes up it may be a scheduled task. Therefore stop all
the scheduled tasks.

Start | control panel | scheduled tasks | Advaced | Stop using scheduled
tasks

The exe file for On screen keyboard is osk.exe

(Check in Msconfig startup)

I located On-Screen Keyboard in Scheduled tasks but it isn't scheduled. I've also checked Accessibility Options several times and can't find anything that would allow me to turn it off.

To open On-Screen Keyboard, click Start, point to Programs, point to
Accessories, point to Accessibility, and then click On-Screen Keyboard.

Google is your friend. (on-screen + keyboard) yielded 418,000 hits.

try msconfig from the run command - look under startup - see if its there -
if so uncheck it

You just stop the scheduled tasks as i said and this will solve the problem
and reply whether this solved the problem.

I don't have the option to stop scheduled tasks for the keyboard there. It only allows me to schedule them.

That took care of it. Thanks.

which solution took care. so that it would be helpful for others to do it.

Running msconfig and deselecting On-Screen Keyboard stopped the screen from appearing on my desktop.
