On resume password protect...not welcome screen?

I have enabled fast user switching and the welcome screen
from the users menu, but when i return from a screen
saver the we3lcome screen does not appear. Instead it is
the standard password box. The option under the screen
savers tab says "On resume password protect" where it
used to say "On resume display welcome screen." Why did
the option change, and can I get it back?

I'm having the exact same problem:

The text next to the checkbox in the "Properties > Screen Saver"
tab has changed from ON RESUME, DISPLAY WELCOME SCREEN to ON RESUME,
PASSWORD PROTECT and instead of switching to the welcome screen after
the screen saver is deactivated, I get the conventional w2k login
prompt.

"Use the Welcome Screen" and "Use Fast User Switching" are both
ENABLED.

I want my welcome screen back.
Thanks for any input ...

1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type: control userpasswords2 , and then click OK.
3. In the dialog box that appears, click the Advanced tab and remove the
check next to "Require users to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete, click Apply.

Thanks for the input, however, this only removes the requirement to
press Ctrl+Alt+Delete to "unlock" the computer but does not exchange
the old win2k login prompt with the win xp welcome screen.
