OL 2000 News Reader, Shortcut on Outlook

S

Steve Lenaghan

Is there a way to put a short cut on my Outlook page so I don't have to go
to view every time?

Also can I delete irellevant messages from the news reader?

TIA

Right click on your Outlook toolbar, select customize. Open the Commands
tab, then highlight the Go menu. Scroll the items until you see the News
command. Drag and drop to your preferred location on your toolbar.

You can also add the desktop shortcut for the Outlook news reader to the
Outlook bar.

I Got it on the upper tool bar, but not sure how to get it on shortcut. But
at lease I have access to it.

Thanks

Steve.

Just add a shortcut to Outlook Express (since that's what Outlook uses for
its newsreader) and put the /newsonly switch on the end of the target file
path. For example, your shortcut's target path might look like this:

"C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" /newsonly
