Office 2007: Unable to Install BCM

Since installing Office 2007 I've never been able to install BCM. I'm
currently running B2TR and installation has failed repeatedly. When reviewing
the MBSsetuptmpX.log, I find the following error dialog:

Property(S): ISSCRIPT_VERSION_MISSING = The InstallScript engine is missing
from this machine. If available, please run ISScript.msi, or contact your
support personnel for further assistance.
Property(S): ISSCRIPT_VERSION_OLD = The InstallScript engine on this machine
is older than the version required to run this setup. If available, please
install the latest version of ISScript.msi, or contact your support personnel
for further assistance.

I've rarely experienced a problem installing other software on this machine
so am at wit's end as to why the ISSscript.msi file issue seems to be
BCM-specific.

Any ideas?

Are you using the TR version of BCM as well?

Unfortunately, I still can't install BCM. On the first try, the error
message was that a version of Microsoft Office Small Business Connectivity
Components was already installed. I removed the old version via A/R P, then
tried reinstalling. I then got the same error as below.

Don't multipost but crosspost. Better mark your other posts that they have
been answered in this newsgroup not to waste anybody else's time there.

Yes it is and I am running WI 3.1. In fact, I uninstalled it, rebooted,
reinstalled it, rebooted, then tried reinstalling BCM. I encountered the same
failed setup as before.

I don't need it that precise ;-) More of an indication.
Is it when you extract the files, when setup initializes, directly after you
give the Install command or halfway during setup.

During setup. It appears to install Interop Assemblies, but the progress
grid then whizzes by. It then starts to install BCM with the same result as
for IA.

The dialog on the Setup Wizard is as follows:
Installation complete. [sic]
Setup failed to install the following products.
Business Contact Manager for Outlook 2007 (Beta).

I don't need it that precise ;-) More of an indication.
Is it when you extract the files, when setup initializes, directly after you

problem on the phone. If so, I'll report back the results here.
