InstallScript engine error

G

George Kwan

I'm trying to install the newest version of Palm Desktop.
However, the install program prompt "The InstallScript
engine is missing from this machine. If available, please
run ISScript.msi, or contact your support personnel for
further assistance."

I tried to the run "ISScript.msi" according to the message
but the install program still prompted the same message
afterward.

Then, I asked Palm's support and they said this is the
Windows issue. So, are there any experts to let me know
what's happening on the Windows Installer and solve this
problem? Thanks.

Regards,
George

There may be several reasons why the InstalShield scripting engine may fail
to install. I suggest you look at http://consumer.installshield.com and
http://kb.installshield.com . If that doesn't help post your question in
http://community.installshield.com.
IMHO you shouldn't have to do this, but Palm support should investigate this
problem for you.
