InstallScript engine missing error..HELP!!!!

Hi,

Ok, I recently purchased a broadband card Pantech PX-500 from sprint.
I tried using the software installation cd that comes with it, but I
get an error message when trying to do this. Error is : The
InstallScript engine is missing from this machine. If available,
please run ISScript.msi, or contact your support personnel for further
assistance.

I contacted sprint's desk support, but they told me this is a windows
problem.

What does this mean, and how can I fix this in order to install my
software?

Please help me!!! I am not very knowledgeable of computer's problems
so I would love for somebody to give me steps to follow to fix this
problem.
