Hello,

I am accessing outlook 2007 pro from a terminal services session. After the
recent security updates for Office 2007 Pro, outlook no longer is able to
restore itself from being minized after I disconnect and re-connect to the
session.

There are no events in the event viewer related to this problem.

I have a quad core system and I see that outlook is taking 25% of the
computing resources, which appears to be about 95% of one of the cores.

When I right-click on the outlook task tray item, the context menu outline
is drawn, but no items are shown. The context menu for the other items in the
task tray no longer works as well.

If I End Process on outlook via the Task Manager, and re-open Outlook, it
works again until I disconnect and re-connect again (leaving outlook running,
but minimized).

If I minimize outlook in my RD session and restore it, it works just fine.
This problem only occurs after I disconnect and re-connect (not logout, but
just disconnect).

The RD host is a Win XP Pro 64 bit desktop and the remote client is a vista
business notebook.

Thanks

I also noticed that the rdclip.exe process sucks some CPU when I try to
restore the outlook process from the task tray. The rdclip.exe process takes
about 5% of the cpu for a little bit and then goes idle.

ah ha!

So I disabled the local printer and clipboard in the RD session, and now
Outlook is able to restore from the task tray in the RD session.

That is no good. I need to be able to copy and paste from the RD session
back to my client session.
