Minimize Disappears

I have Outlook 2007 on Windows XP. When I click the Minimize (-) icon the
program disapears from the screen and there is no icon on the task bar to re
open Outlook. I think the program is still running, because it is recieving
mail while it is gone. The only way I can see the program is to click on the
regular start up icon.

Any ideas on how I can get the icon back on the task bar when Outlook is
minimized?

Thanks for your help.

Has your system tray collapsed to hide infrequently used icons? Is there a
small arrow at the left end of the tray? If so, click it and see if the tray
expands to show the icon.

There are no arrows on the task bar. It seems to be working, because icons
from other open programs are visible on the task bar when they are open or
minimized.

"Doug,

If you have an Outlook icon in your system tray, right click on it and
uncheck "Hide when Minimized"
