I have a problem with outlook 2003 where every time I start the program it
prompts to log on identity. I had outlook express installed prior to
installing office and imported the settings from that. closing the box works
but is a nuisance. I have tried repairing the installation. Uninstalling and
reinstaling and every time I get the same problem.
Problem 2 is that recently outlook started deleting wanted email. I have
checked all of my settings and cannot find anything that would cause this.
These are emails that are in my contacts list and added to my safe contacts.

1) Which password is it requesting? If LDAP, remove the account type from
your mail profile via Tools-> Email Accounts...
2) Could it be that you have AutoArchive turned on? Tools-> Options-> tab

Outlook uses Profiles, you can use the mail applet in the control panel to
untick the 'prompt for profile'

The password that it is promping me for is the exact same as the prompt from
outlook express. Somehow when I imported my settings from outlook express
this was imported and I cannot figure out how to get rid of it.
