Any advice given is my attempt to show appreciation for all
the excellent help I've received here but I'm no MVP so it
may only apply NUGS. Personal attacks, nitpicking & criticism
of anything but content will NOT be responded to. Those
posters should spend their time taking the test @

hi! try this tweak it work's for me! right click on the blank screen on your
desktop then select new and click Shorcut and right this down to the Target:
"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohome
that's all....it make's my IE browser much faster to load than the
origanial one.

Alex,

Thanks for taking the time to reply - it is Outlook Express that is opening
slowly - not Internet Explorer - I have my IE home page set to blank so it
opens pretty quickly - may try your idea anyway. Nothing is ever too fast
for me

Larry,
Thank you for the reply - I have removed/disabled messenger so I don't think
that is an issue - whatever it is started a few days ago and I am not clear
if I did anything prior to it happening or not
