nv4_disp problem

I tried to login to my pc today (XP) and got a blue screen saying there was
an error with file nv4_disp. It mentioned something about a possible problem
with a driver.
Near the bottom of the screen was;

***STOP: 0x000000EA (0x81997AD8, 0xFFB0E108, 0xF969BCBC, 0x00000001)

Does anyone know what this is and how I can fix it. I'm operating in safe
mode w/networking currently.

Any response is greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Ricky. I had to download and install an updated video driver. All
is well.

nv4_disp error solved

I also encountered the same blue screen/nv4_disp error. I surfed the net for solution. Uninstalled my graphics card driver, download the latest driver and installed it BUT the same problem persisted. I thought my video card was the culprit and thought of buying anew one. Then I tried running REGISTRY MECHANIC 6. Scan the system and it showed several errors. Then I click REPAIR...It works. Try this...it might help
