Blue Screen Error message - repeatedly

I continue to get an message:
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage
to your computer.
The problem seems to be caused by the following file: nv4_disp
If this is the first time you have seen this stop error screen, restart your
computer. If this screen appears again follow these steps:
The device driver got stuck in an infinite loop. This usually indicates a
problem with the device itself or with the device driver programing the
hardware incorrectly.
Please check with your hardware device vendor for any driver updates.
technical information:
***stop: 0X000000EA (0X81D8CBD8, 0X81E72CD0, X821510D8, 0X00000001)
nv4_disp
etc.
I tried updating the NVIDIA driver, but received the answer that no NVIDIA
drivers were found. Is there any way to uninstall a patch that may have
caused all of this? Thank you.

Thank you both. Unfortunately I have already done this (did this on Friday,
got the message again today). Any other ideas?

Thanks again.

if you have a nvidia drivers disk you could try removing the graphics card
from device manager (right click on My Computer select properties, hardware)
and then use the disk to reinstall (or the add new hardware wizard and tell
it to look on cd for drivers)

I guess you have tried asking the question here
http://nvidia.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/nvidia.cfg/php/enduser/std_alp.php

running out of ideas I'm afraid, hope someone else comes up with a solution
for you.
