NTBackup Crashes with new CD-R drive

[FXP]

NTBackup crashes and won't open. I get the following
error:

Faulting application ntbackup.exe version 5.1.2600.0
faulting module imm32.dll, version 5.1.2600.1106 fault
address 0x00011a26.

The only system change is I added a CD-R drive which was
assigned a drive letter that had been previously a second
hard drive. This second drive was backed with the old
drive letter up using NTBackup. I'm thinking this has
something to do with the problem. Do I have to clear
certain system setting because of the recent install?

You can cheat it some with a packet writing program like
Roxio Direct CD (comes with Easy CD Creator ) or DLA
You then use a CD (won't span) or DVD to back up too.

After reading your post again this might have some info. I
would probably re-install both. It reads backup devices
when you start , but you have already used it.


Keep going to the next page. NTBackup is weird.

of course you could just reinstall it and see if it will
work.
