Hello all,
I'm trying to get my HP Colorado 20 GB internal tape drive working with Backup Exec and XP Pro. The drive is found and installed ok in XP. The trouble is with the header information on all of my tapes. I used to use HP software to backup a few machines, now I want to use backup exec. I have bumped around Veritas support site and found out that I need to use NTbackup to erase the header info in order to be able to use backup exec. Problem is NTbackup doesn't like the tapes either. Says it's bad media. Not just one, tape all ten of them. I tried to run ntbackup.exe /nopoll. That was suggested from Veritas to erase the tapes without having ntbackkup look at the header info, but no luck.
I'm hoping someone can lend me a hand to get these tapes working.
Thanks
