So is it true? There is no client for Windows XP Home
edition for a Novel Network.

Answer will save me hours of searching and playing with
my laptop to try and connect at work

Thanks so much Nancy Krey

Hi, Nancy -

It's partially true ;-)

If you want to connect to a Netware network you'll either
need to upgrade to XP Professional or download the
Netware client from Novell and install it.

Hope this helps -

As stated in the link below, "Computers running Windows XP Home Edition cannot join corporate domains. For this reason, features that require machine accounts within a domain, such as Group Policy, are not available in Windows XP Home Edition.".

You would have to install XP Pro, then install Novell Client 4.9 or higher
