my computer was working properly few weeks ago but
recently there's a problem in the notification area...

after everything is up
.....a FEW icons in notification area went missing (i.e
volume control).
only my "InCD" icon is shown in the notification area

all back to normal after waiting for A MINUTE.... all
icons reappear in the notification area....(while
waiting, i cant access to anything... i.e files in my
hard drive although all desktop icons are loaded up)

whats wrong?? why it takes so long to load the other few
icons??.....before that its like taking only 30
secs .....pls help!!!! i've defrag, scan for viruses,
tried the few things posted at http://www.kellys-korner-
xp.com, still the same problem stays....

btw my com is a P4 2.4 ghz with 256mb ram

But ...the problem reoccured

so I figured it was the taskmanager that was broken instead
so I did this: Inserted The windows cd and holding shift down so it wouldn't autostart

For example, if your computer's CD-ROM drive is drive E, and the folder that contains the Windows system files is C:\Windows, type the following lines at the command prompt (pressing ENTER after each line):
e
cd i38
expand taskmgr.ex_ c:\windows\system32\taskmgr.exe

Type exit to quit the command prompt

Now everthing is back to normal
