Notification area icons etc.

I have limited vision, and solutions to a few problems are still being
sought:

1) I need to enlarge the notification area icons.
Since setting the Display dpi setting to 150% (144) and playing with other
font sizes in *Appearance*, the notification area icons are now stacked 2
high and are very small (5mm square).

2) How can I darken the *handle* in the scrollbar so that I can see it
better?

3) How can I make the vertical bar (caret?) that shows me where to type
thicker/more obvious?

2) I don't know how to change the color without totally changing Themes.
But you can make the Scrollbar bigger.

Right click the Desktop | Properties | Appearance tab | Advanced button |
Click the V next to Item to expand the menu | Select Scrollbar | Set to a
number higher than 16 |

Thanks.i tried that, but I need much nore conrast tham I have at present
..
I literally cannot SEE the handle :-((

I will play with *Themes* but don't want to lose thae changes I've already
made...they have taken me AGES. (because I can't see very well)_
