Notification Area Icon

Despite un-installing a piece of software, every time I
start up XP an icon appears in the notification area. Any
ideas how I can find out what programs are run when I
start up? Thanks for your help

Hi Mark,

Click Start | Run | MSConfig | Startup tab.
See what applications are running and disable them one by one to check which
application is creating the icon in notification area.
