Not WorkingMsiexec /x {A5CC2A09-E9D3-49EC-923D-03874BBD4C2C}

I'm running XP2, had to do a sys restore. Defender needed updated so I tried,
it failed. I ran Msiexec /x {A5CC2A09-E9D3-49EC-923D-03874BBD4C2C}or tired
to. I get the following error "This patch could not be opened, verify the
patch package exist and you can access it." Couldn't find the patch so I
used add'remove programs to delete Defender, ran search and deleted all the
files it found and checked the reg for entries. I downloaded the program
again, gave me the defs are 51 days old. Tried update again, no joy, and the
Msiexec patch didn't work, got same error..........any ideas.

Running Msiexec /x {A5CC2A09-E9D3-49EC-923D-03874BBD4C2C} solved this problem
3 weeks ago. But problem stated again today and now when i run Msiexec /x
{A5CC2A09-E9D3-49EC-923D-03874BBD4C2C} I get ERROR message:
Error 1316.A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file
C:\WINDOWS\Installer\AS_Sigs.MSI
