Not Responding msg

System real slow. Trying to load Outlook or IE gives a not responding msg.

Something changed after holidays. Don't know what and don't have restore
points.

Deleted all cookies and files. (not objects)

Ran spybot in safemode.

Can now get on a webpage but it is very low still with 1G ram and 80 g
harddrive system.

What else should I check? I have also stopped almost everything in startup
and services under msconfig. virus program is avast.

Run a good AV check with UPDATED software!

Also get and run Adaware from lavasoft.com, HiJackThis, and whatever else
strikes your fancy. You sound pretty well infected and one scanner isn't
going to do the job. Oh, and update/rerun spybot.
