Norton AntiVirus 2004

Hi:

I have the following problem (have contacted Norton, but no reply to date) in that I have the option checked to "Scan Outgoing Email" and also checked to "Display Progress Indicator when sending email".

However, the "Display Progress Indicator" that normally appears in the bottom right hand corner does not display or appear. OS is Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 1 on a Toshiba Notebook Model 1135-S155. I have the same Norton AV settings on my Sony desktop and have no problems in sending email and the Display Progress Indicator appearing.

Thanks,

Tom

Are you sure it's not appearing *behind* your OE window? That's the way it
behaves for me - a bug in NAV I assume.

Nope...I have moved and Minimized OE and the Display Progress Indicator
never appears. Got to be a bug somewhere, but getting an answer is the
problem. I figured I would "Post" here in hopes someone might have had a
similar problem and resolved it.

I'll bet you are using Zone Alarm. The latest release (5.0.590.043) includes
a fix for the e-mail scanning component of NAV.

Hi Jason:

You hit it right on the head! I upgraded to the newer version that you
cited and now NAV works fine.
Thanks a bunch!
