Norton 2004?

A

Ann

Hi - I currently have NAV 2000 running on my computer which has win98SE.
Just got rid of some nasty pests that NAV didn't find so decided to upgrade
to NAV 2004 which I have purchased on line, as a bundle with the firewall,
but not yet received. However, I have just read some really bad reviews of
NAV 2004 and wondered if it is really as dreadful as it seems from these.

Thanks

Ann

Just replaced Norton 2004 cause it let a few bad ones through(even updated)
but any software can, just remember:
1. A virus checker that in not updated is only marginally better than none.
2. If you allow any program to run on your computer that you don't know
what it does.... it's not really your computer.
3. use a firewall
4. I you use Windoze like a lot of us, use windows update often.
5. Remember no matter how smart your are.... that program you got for free
off p2p networks may make you prove it... and you may be in for a long week.
(Think twice about the possible problems.) See #2

Just another guy out here, who don't know shit, but as long as you don't
know......

I've had major problems with NAV 2004 including tech support fobbing me off
with a number of different solutions until my 60 days are up.

Having used them for the past 10 years I am now turning elsewhere - Symantec
have had it, another bunch of corporate crap-heads interested in short term
profits. Their software has wrecked my computer use
