Proof of purchase for Norton Anti-Virus 2004 rebate ?

Hello

I have a copy of Norton Anti-Virus 2003 whose subscription runs out on Jan
7, 2004. Every store in the city has this deal whereby you can purchase
Norton Anti-Virus 2004 and get all your money back when you apply the In-
Store, Upgrade and Mail-In rebates.

My question : Considering that I don't have the original packing materials
my NAV 2003 came in (including the bar code), I'm trying to find out what
proof of purchase would be required to apply for the upgrade rebate. The
NAV 2004 box in the stores mentions the upgrade rebate but doesn't say what
proof of purchase is needed to apply for it.

Thanks.

Usually, the original CD (or first floppy disk in the
set) of the program will be okay. Make a photocopy of
it, and take both with you to the store.

All you need is one of two things.

1. Title page from last years manual
2. Original CD or Disk 1

One of the above AND your proof of purchase from the inside flap or the
bar code from the bottom of the package AND your receipt. Make sure you
keep a copy of everything, it's amazing how many times I have received a
post card telling me I have forgotten something and when I pull out my
copies there it is, just as I sent it. I just call and fax them something
they say is missing. Although lately when I call they just say OK and
authorize the rebate.

It can be the original installation CD or the front page of the owners
manual.

When was the last time you got one with a boxed
software purchase?
