Normal Style following Heading

Is there a way to make the "normal" style pick up the tab position of a
previous heading style? The question came up for ease of reading.....

1. Heading 1
Heading 1 normal text

1.1 Heading 2
Heading 2 normal text

1.1.1 Heading 3
Heading 3 normal text

That didn't turn out exactly correct, but you get the idea. I know I could
set up a paragraph style to start automatically after the heading, but I was
hoping to have a setting on the "normal" style to do it automatically.....

I gather that you want the body text under the different headings
indented in such a way that it matches where the text begins. This is
possible by making different BodyText styles for each level. Set the
indenting in Format/Paragraph to the same value as the tab setting (say
15 mm for level 1). Call this style BodyStyle1. Do the same for the
next levels (BodyStyle2, etc). You can set your Heading Style to be
followed by the appropriate BodyStyle in your style definition.
Note that there are disadvantages in your approach. First, you lose
space. I would not apply it to more than two levels. You could also
match it to where the numbering begins, to gain some space and still
have some indenting effect which indeed supports structuring of the
text.
Second, you lose flexibility if you want to promote or demaote the text
later.
Third, the number of styles will explode as you probably also need
bulleted lists, numbered lists etc for each BodyText level....

I'm afraid you'll need to define multiple body text styles, one for each
heading style, and make each the "Style for following paragraph" of the
corresponding heading style. If you need text with a left indent (rather
than just the first-line indent), you might want to start with the List
Continue styles, which have an indent to begin with, though you may need to
modify the indents to match your headings.

I was afraid of that..... That's ok though, I think I can come up with a
different workaround to make the document appear better.
