NO UNINSTALL!!!

I had to reinstall defender just to see if it would appear in my add/remove
program part of the control panel. It still does not show up. Is this some
kind of trap? How do I get rid of it. BESIDES deleting files from the program
files folder. Is there a fix for the uninstall?
 
Did you try the solution described in post "SOLUTION TO WINDOWS DEFENDER
UPDATE PROBLEM..." (31 Dec 2006)?
 
Yes, I did. but it still loads and it still appears in "programs" area.
