No Sound

I have tried EVERYTHING from the trouble shooting pages to
the FAQs to the support articles --- I have no sound. I
have installed the sound icon on the task bar, the volume
settings are fine, the audio setting are all functioning,
the mute buttons are are off ??????????? I am using a
laptop and windows XP Home. I have had sound before my pc
crashed and I remember having the same problem a year ago
when the pc was new and I used it for the first time. Some
kind person on this forum eplained what I would have to
do.

I hope you are out there because this is driving me crazy!!

I knoew what you mean. I have a similar problem on my PC.
Only difference it that I know what type of soundcard I
have, I have installed the drivers for it. It plays for
mabye 1 second then it cuts. I don't really know what it
going on. If you get any news. If would be greatly
appriciated if you could share the wealth!
