no sound internal or external

I had to install a new hard drive and re-install my software. I now have
absolutely no sound either internally or from the speakers. The drivers are
working properly. There are no conflicts.

However I do have more than one sound software installed. Could this be a
conflict somehow?

I am using Windows 2000 Pro.

you might want to check device manager for conflicts first. then think
about removing you audio software. Ensure you have the correct drivers too.
