No Sound In Certain Programs

When i Play sound with WMP 10 Sound comes out normally but if i try to play
music from nero track editor (or any nero program) or from windows sound
recorder the sound doesnt come out but it shows sound is playing....how do i
fix it please anyone?

Start>Control Panel>Sounds and Audio>Sounds tab
Under Sound Scheme, click the down arrow and select Windows Default
Under Audio tab>Sound Playback and Sound Recording check if your
default device is selected.
Click Apply and OK
