No longer able to print from MS Word 97 & 2003 Docs

I have always used Word 97 and been able to send docs to my printer without
any problems. A few months ago when I tried to do this I just got a very
brief 'Receiving Document' message on my printer screen but then nothing else
happened.

My printer still prints out MS Works docs though?

I have recently upgraded to MS Word 2003, but it still won't print out any
Word documents.

My pc is a Toshiba and my printer is a Brother MFC-620CN connected by USB.

I would appreciate any advice that is available to resolve this problem.

Many thanks,

It might be that the printer port settings have changed. Open the
printer in Control Panel, select Properties, Select Ports and see if the
port in use actually addresses the printer properly.
