not printing from office 97

How can I print an Microsoft Office 97 Word .DOC file in Vista Home Premium?
I get a screen message that says: 'Compile error in hidden module: AutoExec'
when I start Word. However, I can write a .DOC file and Print Preview and
Page Setup both work.

But when I click 'print' from the file menu, the on screen .DOC file
disappears and it doesn't print.

I suspect it's a compatibility problem because Office 97 worked OK in Win98
before I bought a computer with Vista in it. Now I don't know what, if
anything, I can do about the problem.

It probably is a compatibility issue but you will likely have better luck
with this question in one of the Office newsgroups:
http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx

Go to the above link, click the plus sign next to English, click the plus
sign next to Office and Desktop applications, click the plus sign next to
Office and select Word.
