No images or HTML in Outlook 2007

When someone sends me a message in HTML or with images, they do not appear in
the Outlook 2007 screen.

Instead the text is plain and the images appear as attached files.

I have looked through the help menus and tried to change settings in Tools,
Trust Center to no avail.

Can someone provide a solution to this?

Thank you,
SEW

How do you know they send you HTML messages? It sounds to me like they're
sending Plain Text messages.

I am pretty sure they are HTML. At one point I called my ISP, who said this
was a Vista and Office 2007 issue and that one must go to the Outlook ribbon,
choose Other Actions and View in Browser.

Some of the messages come through; normally those from entities such as
Microsoft, online newspapers, etc.

The messages that I sometimes recieve with photos and text embedded in the
message and are supposed to be read that way, show up as small text and the
images as attachments. I've tried making changes in Outlook, Tools, Trust
Center to no avail.

Any ideas?
Thanks

I've tried

If you see the messages as plain text and the images as attachments, then
there's a good chance that's what you were sent. Ask your sender whan s/he
sent.

There are conditions under which you might want to do that, but not
ordinarily for reading HTML messages.

Another indication that the sender wants you to have plain text.

Thank you. I will ask, but am pretty sure that it was to be read without the
necessity of opening the attachments. There were markers on the screen as
though that is where the photos should appear, but instead they weren't and
there were attachments for all the images.

Thank you

I agree with sewidbey. I'll bet if s/he views it in another mail client, it
will display the way he expects. When a person's signature (if its a
graphic) shows up as an attachment, you can pretty much expect that they
didn't intend it that way. I've seen this happen quite a bit.

I got another message and it was in plain text. Then I opened the attachment
and it was the same text, but in HTML.

There is something wrong here.

Does any one have a solution?

Thanks much
