Red X in inline images in Outlook 2007

Hello,

I am having an issue with Outlook 2007 in-line images in HTML emails. I have
searched this knowledgebase for a fix, but am unable to find anything
relevant.

When viewing some images in emails, our users will receive a Red X. Other
images display fine, as we have unchecked the "Don't Download Images
Automatically ..." setting in the Trust Center. These "Red X" images will
display sucessfully using OWA, as well as Outlook 2003. In Outlook 2007, when
the "Red X" is right-clicked, it only displays the "Copy" option in the
context menu.

I have tried a number of fixes I've found here:
-In IE7, Tools > Internet Options > Advanced Tab > Check "Show Pictures" in
Multimedia section
-In OL2007, open email > Office button > Editor Options > Advanced > Uncheck
"Show Picture Place holders" under "Display Email Content"
-Ensured [username]\Local Settings\Temporary Internet
Files\Content.Outlook\[randomly generated dir]\ is empty of all temporary
files
-Tried changing reg key:
"HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Common\"BlockHTTPImages" DWORD value 0"
with no luck.

Are there any other recommended fixes? Surely other must be experiencing
this problem. Thanks in advance!

Hi Brian,

Thanks for the speedy reply. Unfortunately, I've tried that already and it
didn't do the trick. I mentioned it in my original post:

"-Ensured [username]\Local Settings\Temporary Internet
Files\Content.Outlook\[randomly generated dir]\ is empty of all temporary
files"

I've also tried the few other things I mentioned in the original post. Do
any further solutions exist, beyond the ones I've already tried and
mentioned? Thanks again!

Dylan
