No Games PLay on my PC

I recently purchased a fujitsu-siemens computer and it has XP system, Intel
Pentium 4 processer, direct X 9 and because it is new i thought it would be
ok. Any games that seem to have quality graphics dont work. e.g. : Pirates of
the carabein, Vampire Masquerade Bloodlines, and 7 sins. I either just get a
error message, or the games start up and then the screen goes black and it
cuts back to main windows. Please help. If i need to install better graphic
drivers where can i do this?? Thankyou!

Demanding game play requires a top quality video card.

What video card do you have?

To learn what video card is installed:
Control Panel > System > Hardware tab > Device Manager button > double-click
on 'Display adapters'.

"New" does not have any meaning when you refer to video cards.
You computer probably has an onboard graphics chip which shares the system
RAM.
You should have specifically asked for a computer with a separate video
card, either
an AGP card (good) or a PCI-Express video card (better).
If your motherboard has either an AGP or PCI-Express video slot, then you
can upgrade the video
to a better card.
Since you give no information about your computer other than the make, it is
not possible for anyone here to give you specific guidance.

It is the video card that best determines the computers ability to play
games.

FWIW, for gaming you should have bought an AMD based computer. P4 is at the
end of it's life cycle, and they do not support the newer 64 bit games and
software hitting the shelf.
