No dial tone after sending a fax

I am using WinXP Home Edition. My computer is a HP
Pavilion A230N desktop.

I connect my phone line and send a fax. Then, I can NOT
send another fax because there is NO dial tone. I need
to manually remove the phone line from the computer, plug
the phone line into a phone...get a dial tone...and then
plug it back into the computer.

Is there a way to get the computer to re-set the modem so
that I get a dial tone for the next fax to send.

Why don't you try an 'email to fax' service like
www.ozefax.com.au or www.j2.com ?

It uses the internet connection to deliver your fax.
