No connection

Hi
Occasionally, on my sister's computer, when she tries to connect to the
internet through IE, she gets a popup telling her that No connection to the
internet is currently available, click try again to attempt to connect. She
only get this if she hasn't been on for about 10 minutes or more. She has
Verizon DSL, so her connection should be "always on". This isn't a major
problem since if she clicks on try again, it will connect. It is just a
major annoyance. I have run updated antivirus, adaware, and spybot and she
also runs spywareblaster and it still happens after everything is clean.
Anyone have an idea what it could be? TIA

Also, I forgot to add that she has a Linksys Broadband Router and the XP OS
is basically a clean install.

In netwerk connections rightclick your DSL-connection, go to properties and to the tab options. There you can set the "idle time before hanging up".

Erwin, thanks for the reply. I will give that a try in the morning and let
ya know if it works.
