New User - How to solve some problems

I am a new user to Vista & Windows Mail. On XP I used Mozilla Thunderbird.
I have two issues I can't see my way to solving on Windows Mail

1. I run several mailboxes. How do I set up an inbox and sentbox separately
for each mail account? I don't want everything piling into the same
mailboxes.
2. How can I import my old mail from my Thunderbird files?

If anyone can solve this, thanks. Otherwise I'll have to go back to
Thunderbird.

Upgrade Windows Mail to Windows Live Mail. It has a separate set
of folders for each account.

Today I received my new notebook with Windows Mail. I installed the
import/export plugin for Thunderbird, but now I'm stuck. How do I get the
e-mails to be converted so that I can import them in Window Mail?
