Windows mail

I have recently reverted back from using Mozilla Thunderbird to windows mail
on vista, once I reset my pop3 etc (please excuse me as I am not so great on
a pc) and re-entered windows mail, it started to fill my inbox with all my
old emails 277 of them. after it gets to about 26 emails, it disconnects and
says due to inactivity, so I open windows mail again and it starts to load
the same emails again? can you please tell me how I can resolve this issue,
your help would be appreciated,

Regards,

Terry Upton.

That behavior typically indicates a 'stuck' email on the server.
Log in via webmail (using your browser), sort the messages there by date,
delete all the older ones you already have downloaded, plus one more.
Then try Windows Mail again.
