New to Outlook, need help with lost emails

M

Mark Corbelli

I previoulsy have been an Outlook Express user, but I recently reformatted
my HD and reinstalled all my programs, updates, etc. I am using XP pro, sp3.
I bought and installed a copy of Office Ultimate 2007 and decided to use
Outlook rather than Express. I now have people telling me that they have
sent me emails and yet I have no such emails in my inbox. Other emails come
through fine, so I am getting some, but not all of my emails. Can anyone
tell me where my problem could lie?

Can you receive mail at all? What version of Outlook? What type of account
(POP, IMAP, Exchange, etc.)? If you log onto the mail server with a web
interface, can you see those messages? If not, then the problem lies either
on your senders' ends or in the routing between them and your mail server
and is out of your control.
