new printer

Have been trying ti install a all in one printer/copy/scanner that is
supposed to work with XP but will not install. It is an HP PSC 2350 and I
have tried everything to get it installed and can not.HELP!!!!!!!!!
 
Have you read the owner's manual for instructions? Do you have the printer
plugged into a working port on your computer? Have you tried installing it
from the CD? Is the printer turned on? Do you have enough disk space? Do you
meet every system requirement? Do you get an error message? Have you checked
the manufacturer's web site? Cant think of anything else right now.
 
Did you install the software/drivers BEFORE you attached the printer to the
computer. HP's need to be installed that way.

I have done that and more but ended up calling HP and they said that the
installation disc is bad and would send me a new one. Never have had a
problem before just installing a Printer. Thanks for the reply.
 
Did it both ways. Talked to HP and they said that the install disc is
bad,Thanks for your reply.
