New Hardware Found!!!

i have installed a new printer (compaq ij650) and have installed its device
drivers.i connect the usb plug to the same port everytime. but each time i
boot my system, xp says 'new hardware found' and opens a dialouge box for
installing the printer. what should i do to make xp remember that the
hardware driver aer already installed.
