PNP New Hardware Found Problem

I'm having a problem with a Sharp AL-1451 Copier installed on LPT1 as a
printer.
The printer is printing just fine.
I have WinXP Home and the drivers installed are for WinNT/2000.
Each time I cold boot or restart i get 'found new hardware AL-Series 1000
printer'.
What do I need to do to let PNP know that the printer drivers are installed
and turn off the found new hardware?

Hal,

Regedit is unable to delete the LPTENUM registry key referenced in KBID
298370.
Workaround?

give admins the right to delete the key. PnP creates the key as system but
sets the security under the enum key with restricted rights for admins.

PS this is not a printing thing.
