Hi,

Win XP-SP1a

Had normal looking Network favorites, correctly sorted by computer.

Now suddenly my computer's shared folders for which I have created shortcuts
in network favorites appear under the heading "UnKnown" ! Other users appear
under the name of their computer

Like

This is what I get This should
be normally ( and was earlier)

Unknown Me
myFolder1 myFolder2 myFolder1
myFolder2

His-PC His-PC
folder1 folder2 folder1
folder2

Her-PC Her-PC
folder-a folder-b folder-a
folder-b

Anyone an idea ? This is not a major problem of course ( anything can be
accessed Ok) but I dislike it very much, because not clean behaviour. I
don't understant how that appears !

Hello.

Give your computer a name in My Computer -> Properties -> Computer Name
-> Change.

You should have a Dialog called "Computer Name Changes".
You'll have a box [labelled "Computer Name"] where you can enter "Me".
Make sure you don't enter it in the box labelled "Computer Description".

OK your way out. A restart may be necessary. Don't forget to reply if
this doesn't work.
