Network shortcuts : I appear as "Unknown" in computer name sorted view !!!

Hi,

Win XP-SP1a

Had normal looking Network favorites, correctly sorted by computer.

Now suddenly my computer's shared folders for which I have created shortcuts
in network favorites appear under the heading "UnKnown" ! Other users appear
under the name of their computer

Like

This is what I get This should
be normally ( and was earlier)

Unknown Me
myFolder1 myFolder2 myFolder1
myFolder2

His-PC His-PC
folder1 folder2 folder1
folder2

Her-PC Her-PC
folder-a folder-b folder-a
folder-b

Anyone an idea ? This is not a major problem of course ( anything can be
accessed Ok) but I dislike it very much, because not clean behaviour. I
don't understant how that appears !

One precision :
- if I create the shortcut in "my network places" without opening it
directly in the create shortcut wizard, then it is listed in correct place
( pc-pivert)
BUT as soon as I open it ( it opens OK) : it moves to the "Unknown" computer
area, with the currently unavailable shortcuts ( PCs that are down for
example) !
- if I go to the registry and remove the references to these shortcuts at

HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1390067357-1682526488-725345543-100\Software\Microsoft\W
indows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\WorkgroupCrawler\Shares ( one single line key
!)
Then restart "my network places", they are listed again in correct position
( all shortcuts pointing to folders on my PC are under the heading
PC-Pivert)
Again as soon as I open one of them it migrates to "Unknown" header !

Win XP SP1a & NAV 2004 installed.
Questions :
- why this ?
- where ELSE in the registry are these keys stored ( must be since if I
erase in place above, they reappear in "myc network places" when it is
reopened ! Comparing these keys with that of folders on other PCs might help
figured out what happens.
