I inherited an IBM T30 (XP pro). I am getting the Netlogon service not running
message. I am using it as a stand alone (or on my home network). Is there any way to get around this and or kill it so I can use the machine without formatting the drive? It just wants to be loved by a network and I have none to offer.

I'm not weird, I'm a limited edition.

Is the "Client for Microsoft Networks" for the LAN connection setup ... dependencies are not reset correctly if the Client for Microsoft Networks component is removed and then reinstalled?
What does the Event Log say ?

I am unable to do anything. I went in with spotmau and set the admin password to no password and also set myself up a new ID and password, but it will not let me past the XP logon screen
