Netgear router firewall

Just replaced my bog standard Speedtouch 330 modem with a netgear ADSL wireless modem/router - connection is fine but I've found that I can't host an online game and I keep getting a 'Can't download file' message when trying to stream content fron sites like TV-Links.

Anyone know where or how I change the firewall settings for the router - I don't get popups asking if I want to allow things though...Any help welcomed!
