Quite a while ago I posted a question about INCD not working under
WinXP. The only response I got was " It works fine for me" (not very
helpfull". So I thought I'd post this found burried in a winannoyances
web page.

It seemas the only thing I was doing wrong was not turning off Windows
native CD writing , so:

To run INCD in WinXP it is necessary to:

Open My Computer

Right click on CD-RW drive

Click on Properties

Click on the Recording tab

Uncheck the Enable Recording On This CD

This disables WinXp's native recording software and removes a conflict
with INCD.

This is so simple you gurus probably thought anybody should know that,
but a lot of us are so ignorant that we don't

Anyway pass it on to anybody else who posts with this problem. It
worked for me.

Thanks guys and keep up the good work.

That may well be a solution, and more than likely, no one had a chance to
reply to your quandry with proper help. Anyway, I use INCD, and still have
the native recording turned on, and both work equally well together. Best
thing to do is, get the latest updates from Nero that works with SP2

Agree Ted, folks like me use multiple CD writing SW, and I'm
sure if I disabled CD writing that it would effect another program.

Chris, in my view, you found a "work around" not a fix. Which is
why no one here posted it as a fix.
