Need Windows XP Driver for Epson 636U Scanner

The Epson site says the Epson 636U scanner does not work with Windows XP. Is
there a generic driver that might work?
 
try uninstalling any drivers that you installed with the software pkg and
then try to access it with Scanner and Camera wizard (XP built in software).
it should work.
